A man suspended between two worlds
This trip had taken me a long way on the road of spiritual discovery. People seemed to be good and bad, kind and cruel, crooked and honest in the same proportions, regardless of their geographical origins, their language, their religious faith or their skin colour. All that really divided them was ignorance of one another, past events which had never been laid to rest and venial leaders who did not hesitate to exploit their fears and grievances. Was all this so difficult to understand? Surely not. And yet that seemed to be the case.
